This 5-room HDB flat gets an all-inclusive entertainment zone

As hard as it might have been to pack a multipurpose entertainment space into a residential setting, D5 Studio Image faced the challenge head on by creating a dynamic and contiguous living and bar area, conducive to casual relaxation and socialisation. Within a small footprint, the designers had set up a casual seating platform, a projection wall for movie nights and a bar to cater to the owners who are wine aficionados.

Using the same colour palette for the vinyl flooring and cabinetry finishes, the designers achieved an integrated feel where different zones of the living room merge seamlessly into one another. The contrast in the cabinetry backing and the bar counter surface gives depth to the living space, while accent cabinetry lighting provides an overall homey ambience.

Vinyl flooring extends from the living to the dining area to maintain continuity in the open-plan layout. Ambient lighting and dark ceilings accentuate the flat’s cosy and comfortable proportions throughout.
