The client’s brief was for a comfortable family home. It also needed to be spacious and inviting as they entertain often.

To give them the space they needed, the designers’ proposal was to add on a new third level to serve as an entertaining space for the family.

Working closely with the client’s architect and builder, every area of this terrace house including the stairs was redesigned and reoriented. Only 25 per cent of the front structural elements were kept as a URA requirement.

The lady of the house is the fabricator for Cosentino and as such, the designers had the opportunity to use Cosentino’s surfaces extensively throughout the house. Most of the homogeneous tiles and marble were replaced with their surfaces. Even the dining table was custom built using their material.

The kitchen is a multifunctional and social space for hosting guests. The wet and dry zones are separated by a telescopic door that can be pushed back easily to allow the family to host gatherings in the kitchen with minimal limitations.

walk-in wardrobe

Upstairs, the master bedroom is modern and luxurious. Past the walk-in wardrobe, the en suite bathroom is a spacious and indulgent space where the owners can enjoy a view of the air well and an impressive vertical garden as they shower.
