This high-rise unit at The Peak at Toa Payoh offers a comfortable and contemporary space for this family
12 March 2014
Situated on the higher floors of one of the blocks at The Peak, this apartment overlooks the vast suburban Toa Payoh district. When Ciseern took on the home renovation project, its team planned an open living space that would work for its owners. Initially, the conventional layout dictated that the dining table would take up a corner of the living area, which would have made the home feel small and cramped. Instead, the designers planned for dining to take place on the large balcony – a rarity in Singapore these days.
The interior design team also customised the rooms, building things such as a compact bar counter and wall-mounted cabinets. With this apartment, the designers turned out a sleek contemporary space where all creature comforts have been taken into account.
