Nature plays a leading role in the design of this bachelor’s pad

There is often the assumption that only those living in landed property are privy to lush greenery in their backyard. Given the garden city that Singapore is, this does not necessarily have to be the case. Altra Design Studio were adamant to prove that even apartments can enjoy a close relationship with nature with the design of this two-bedroom apartment for a bachelor.
The apartment is part of a residential block that is surrounded by an impressive amount of foliage, thanks to public greening efforts. This inevitably makes up part of the charm of the apartment, and the homeowner consequently requested that the external greenery be taken into consideration in the design. The plan was to ensure that the owner could see greenery through the windows from every corner of the apartment, whether standing, sitting or lying down.
