When a young couple started planning for their four-room BTO in Punggol—and learned a baby was on the way during the design process—Wynn Neo of I.D.I.D recalibrated the plan for real family life without losing the boutique-hotel vibe the owners wanted. Clean frameless doors and a single flooring finish create a calm and seamless backdrop, enhanced by soft neutral tones and marble patterns.

The star move? The corner sliding doors that lead to the nursery. Closed, they read as a refined feature wall; open, the panels slide apart in opposite directions so the nursery and living area join into one big family zone—perfect for play and hosting.

Inside that nursery, storage is generous and a full-size Murphy bed can comfortably accommodate visiting grandparents or a helper.

From the entry, the household shelter and shoe cabinet are neatly concealed behind matching finishes, anchored by a sintered-stone feature with elegant marble veining.

The new layout lines up living, dining and kitchen so movement feels effortless; there’s even a pantry by the dining area for quick drinks and snacks. The round dining table adds that hotel-cosy touch, and with no sharp corners, it’s friendlier for little ones.

The kitchen stays open (the couple doesn’t cook much), and the fridge cleverly screens the service yard for a cleaner sightline across the communal space. Hosting feels more fluid, circulation more natural.

The master suite channels resort energy: the bed sits island-style near the window for daily sea views, backed by a slim headboard that hides a wall of wardrobes and a built-in work desk. Bathrooms are designed like ensuites with sleek hardware and large-format marble-pattern tiles that are both elegant and easier to clean.

The result is a modern-luxe home that behaves like a boutique suite—and flexes as the family grows. Calm inside, sea view outside.
