Although most Singaporeans dream of living in large landed homes in a prestigious neighbourhood, not many of us consider the problems that can come with living in such a big house. Daily maintenance is one big consideration, but homeowners also need to think about the look and design of their landed house. Even after renovations, big houses can easily come across as looking cold and unwelcoming. But with smart space planning and interior design tricks, even the biggest landed home can look cosy and inviting.
When designing this 4,000-sqft terrace house, interior design company QuadWork kept each room neatly packed. When free of empty halls or blank walls, this house appears homely and welcoming. The mix of glossy black, clean white and earth wood tones further lends a cosy stance to the spaces. QuadWork also made sure that the house remains light-filled and airy, especially with the airwell that rises in the centre of the house.
