Two new collections from premium sanitary fittings manufacturer Hansgrohe are giving homeowners major design goals for their bathrooms.
Metropol mixers
Designed by Hansgrohe in partnership with Phoenix Design, the Metropol line is a comprehensive range of mixers available in three types of handles and four tap heights including a floorstanding basin mixer to go with freestanding basins. The geometric contours, cubic base, handle and spout in parallel alignment and a rectangular escutcheon all contribute to a modern aesthetic.
The different tap heights allow versatile application by providing space for diverse needs from washing hands to washing hair. For instance, the Metropol 100 basin mixer comes in 160mm or 190mm spout lengths, while the floorstanding model has an overall height of 1200mm, and is available for both freestanding washbasins and bathtubs.
Handle options for Metropol mixers include a flat lever handle, a slender loop handle and a mixer handle with integrated Select technology for simple control. This purely mechanical technology works on a special cartridge without electricity or additional devices in the base cabinet.
Croma 280 showerheads and showerpipes
Expanding on one of Hansgrohe’s bestsellers, the Croma 280 combines trendy design with an attractive price-performance proposition.
Croma 280 overhead showers stand out for their generously-sized showerheads featuring a 280mm metal spray disc that uses air-infused water drops to lavishly pamper the body into a relaxed state. Offering the flexibility of ceiling or wall installation, the Croma 280 range features water-saving Hansgrohe EcoSmart models that use only about nine litres per minute.
Croma Select 280 showerpipes are part of Hansgrohe’s all-in-one shower systems that combine the overhead shower, hand shower, shower holder, thermostat and hose in a single system. Recommended for new builds as well as renovations, the showerpipe system features a horizontal shower arm with a swivel function to flexibly position the showerhead, three spray modes with easy switching, and an integrated Hansgrohe Ecostat Comfort thermostat.
The Hansgrohe Croma Select 280 showerpipe also comes in a single-lever mixer version for bathtubs and a renovation model for use with existing taps and mixers.
