If you’re all about the modern classic style, or want to imbue your home with stylish European luxe, pop by the Xtra pop-up on Killiney Road.
For a limited time, the premium designer furniture store is showcasing here a curated collection of furniture, decor accessories, soft furnishings and lighting. The beautifully styled home settings reflect the latest in European interior design trends, to offer inspiration for creating spaces that are luxurious, yet contemporary and approachable.
This more grown-up, sophisticated look is a departure from the usual style of the brand, as exemplified in its trendy Marina Square flagship store.
A brand, in particular, that’s exclusive here is Inkiostro Bianco. The Italian brand is known for its in vogue, graphically attractive vinyl and fibreglass wallpapers (pictured above), which add an artistic, avant-garde touch to interiors.
“For years, we have been going to the Maison & Objet fair (in Paris) and have been attracted to the styling trends that are in essence very European,” says Lim Choon Hong, the managing director of Xtra, on the design direction of the space. ” I imagined an elegant boutique with a distinct European flavour, in the quiet and upmarket vicinity of Penang Road and Oxley Road, where you can find other stand-alone boutiques such as Boffi Studio and the Casa Gessi bath store.
Metallic tones, plush fabric textures and glitzy details in the furnishings can be seen throughout the space. Combined with an elegant neutral palette with pops of colour, the pop-up space has a look and feel of a comfortable, glamorous home – you might find it hard to leave!
The Xtra pop-up space will be around only till the end of the year. Visit it at #01-01/02 Winsland House 1, 3 Killiney Road, T: 6836 0288.
