This dramatic lounge-inspired interior is reminiscent of elite and swanky access-only nightclubs

The owners of this flat wanted a home that has all the swank and swagger of a hip dance club. A brief like that normally wouldn’t be much of a surprise given that many have put forward the same design brief to their own designers before. But in this case, the fact that the newlywed have never really had a clubbing lifestyle to speak of makes their request a most unusual one.
Design firm Free Space Intent delivered an interior that successfully marries the drama of a club with the practical requirements of a home. A bold colour palette of charcoal and red were chosen for the main living spaces. The striking red bar counter is unequivocally one of the highlights of the design. What first started out as a standard bar counter to complement the serving window became an exercise in form-making and multifunctionality. Sexy curves merge with dynamic angles in the split-level bar counter that also doubles as a dining area. The rest of the home is kept unpredictable, with extensive use of diagonal lines and red LED strip lights that lend a dramatic flair to all corners of the home.
