Project type: 3-storey terrace house with attic
Floor area: 3,500sqft

Every area in this terrace house including the stairs has been redesigned and reoriented to create a spacious and airy home that is conducive for spending quality family time and to host gatherings.

Design Zage project

In the hands of Design Zage, the original two-storey terrace house has been turned into a three-storey home with an attic for a family who loves to entertain. The first level is a bright and open space with the living, dining and kitchen flowing seamlessly from one to the next. One can see right across the communal space upon entering the home.

The lady of the house is the fabricator for Cosentino and as such, the designers had the opportunity to use Cosentino surfaces extensively throughout the home. Most of the homogeneous tiles and marble have been replaced with their surfaces. Even the dining table is custom built using their material.

The kitchen is a multifunctional and social space where the family can host with ease. The wet and dry zones are separated by a telescopic door that can be pushed back easily to allow the family to host gatherings in the kitchen with minimal limitations.

Floor-to-ceiling decorative panels line the walls of the common corridor on the second level, adding texture and visual interest, and lending warmth to the space. They also neatly conceal the entrance to the common bathroom.

In the common bathroom, marble-patterned surfaces from Cosentino are paired with soothing wood-look finishes. Along with the elegant bathroom fixtures and simple shelving, the space is a minimalist and serene sanctuary where one can enjoy a little ‘me-time’.

The master bedroom is spacious and understatedly elegant and luxurious. A well-thought-out combination of soft neutral tones imbues the space with a calm and restful atmosphere. The owners can also draw back the curtains to enjoy the view of the estate.

A pocket sliding door opens to reveal the master bedroom’s walk-in wardrobe, which is decked in a similar neutral colour palette. It is well-organised and spacious with both open shelves and closed drawers, and makes getting ready for the day an enjoyable experience. From here, a concealed door leads into the en-suite bathroom.

Bathing in the master bathroom is an indulgent and spa-like experience close to nature. The shower area overlooks the air well and an impressive vertical garden, allowing the owners to enjoy the soothing greenery, fresh air and daylight as they prepare themselves for the day ahead.
