Pendant lamps are a versatile light source that can work in many different scenarios in your home. For example, hang them above your nightstand as a bedside lamp, or in a cluster over your dining table as an ambient light. A collaboration between Louis Poulsen and Swedish designer cum graphic artist Clara von Zweigbergk, the Cirque lamp is a modern classic with an understated yet distinctive shape; ideal for use in any room.

Inspired by a visit to the Tivoli gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Cirque pendant was first introduced in 2016. Since then, it’s been making statements in three sizes and three cheerful colour combinations, defined by colourful bands that run across its curvaceous body. Now, the Cirque pendant is exploring new territories in new hues.

From Spring 2018, Cirque is available in a new palette of soft grey tones, a quintessentially Scandinavian look that’s in line with the design trend that’s sweeping Singapore’s design scene. While the previous colour combinations showcase the lamp’s cheerful disposition, the new grey hues accentuate the Cirque’s distinctive shape and highlight the interplay of shadow and light on the pendant’s soft contours.

The neutral grey hues also place the focus on Cirque’s beautiful, soft and atmospheric light. Thanks to its unique form and matt white interior, light not only flows downwards but also reflects on the surface of the table and into the surroundings and the lamp itself.

Whether you hang it individually or suspend it in a row of three, the Cirque lamp will be a stylish addition to the living room, dining area or even the bedroom.
