Established in 1959, Flexform has since built a reputation as a manufacturer of premium quality sofas and furniture that stand the test of time. The products carry a timeless style. In fact, some of the brand’s most enduring pieces, such as the Groundpiece sofa (released in 2001), are still the brand’s bestsellers.

Studio216 has just opened a new standalone store of the brand here in Singapore. We pick four designs we absolutely love.

Groundpiece-7

#1 Groundpiece sofa

What can we say? Designed by Antonio Citterio, Groundpiece is a timeless design, and such a comfortable, generously-sized sofa, you and your family won’t ever want to leave it. You can read, watch TV, but also work and even eat your dinner while relaxing on the goosedown cushions. Low storage elements can be inserted in the structure, replacing part of the back or the armrest.

Armchair

#2 Agave armchair

The popularity of natural materials and craftsmanship in interiors is growing. We like how the antique art of reed manufacturing expressed in the Agave armchair, which brings to mind the aesthetics of colonial, outdoor furniture.

#3 Piuma cabinet

We love the fine feather mahogany finish on the Piuma cabinets designed by Antonio Citterio. The lack of handles, the geometric lines, and the 45° cut of the doors with groove grips are also worthy features.

Adda

#4 Adda sofa

Part of Flexform’s latest 2017 collection, the Adda sofa carries a clean, contemporary look. The light structure features generously padded goosedown cushions bordered by thick relief stitching. The soft armrest and back cushions have original lengthwise stitching that produces a gentle hollow on the leather (or fabric) surface, creating an interesting graphic design that forms a distinctive feature of the sofa.
