Design firm Meter Square harnesses an apartment’s lush surrounds to great effect in its design
5 August 2013
The most astute of designers often make the most of an apartment’s merits. In the case of this four-bedroom apartment at Waterfront Waves condominium, generous bay windows that overlook views of Bedok Reservoir were the very elements that May Chang of Meter Square chose to play up in her design of the home.
One of the main intentions was to ensure that the interior design of the home would not overshadow the view. May downplayed the look with an overall black-and-white concept. This was then peppered with customised joinery and cabinetry for a modern look, and then heightened with materials that add visual texture to the home.
