If there’s one look that will never go out of style, it’s probably the swanky, luxury interior. Polished surfaces and clean, rectilinear designs are hallmarks of this look, something that this 4-bedroom apartment excels in. The design team from Image Creative Design explored using unique design elements when conceptualising this space to result in a one-of-a-kind home with some surprising twists.
Designer Randy Tan carved out a compact foyer to welcome guests into the home. The main living space comes with a straightforward layout where the dining and living areas share one space. Several design strategies were employed to clearly define the two areas. Entering the living area, there’s a dramatic change in the ambience from the all-white dining area thanks to the dark wall claddings on opposite walls. To lift the dark hues, Randy incorporated furniture and built-in furnishings in a light colour.
One of the perks of this apartment is the unusually high ceiling in the master bedroom. The key design here is to highlight the volume of the space. The team constructed a headboard that reaches all the way to the ceiling. Long panels are arranged vertically to enhance the sense of height, as do the bedside lights that hang low from the ceiling.
