Modern oriental retreat with rich wood accents

One of the homeowners’ requirements is to be able to house a collection of figurines. To create an outstanding showcase area, Json Er used laminates and a large marble slab. This feature wall of contrasting textures displays the collection in good light. “The owners multiplied their collection after we put up the display cabinet!” he laughs.

The junior master bedroom resembles a hotel suite, thanks to the intricately designed surfaces. “This room used to have a balcony,” says Json, “but we integrated it into the bedroom.” The bedroom now boasts a bay window and a study, which accentuates its hotel-like style. Another design highlight is the headboard, which sports an interlacing design of reclaimed wood.

The kitchen was completely transformed with a brand new configuration and fittings. Perfect for frequent cooking and entertaining, the wet and dry kitchen zones are separated by a glass door. This not only lets in light, but blurs the boundary of space to create one large integrated area.
