Take part in the D’STAR Design Award 2015 and you could become Singapore’s next great furniture designer

Fancy yourself the next big furniture designer? Here’s your chance to get your foot in the door. After a successful run in 2013, the D’STAR Design Award is back this year. The design competition is organised by Star Furniture Group (the people behind brands like Star Furniture, Mondi and JotterGoods) and aims to uncover and nurture budding furniture design talents.
The competition is open to all full-time design students from local polytechnics, universities and other recognised design institutions. Six finalists will win attractive prizes, and the grand winner will receive a trip to the prestigious Milan Furniture Fair 2016 – iSaloni Trade Fair (worth $5,000) and $1,000 cash!
To take part in the competition, submit your personal design for a furniture piece that fits into any of Star Furniture Group’s existing brands. The furniture design should also adhere to the theme “Grey Area”. The submission deadline is 17 May 2015. You can read up more about the D’STAR Design Award design brief here.
