We all love a sumptuously thick rug, especially one that feels like bliss beneath our feet. Tappeti fine handcrafted rugs + carpets introduces their Evoluzione collection in which heritage craft meets contemporary design. Exploring geometric patterns and organic and earthy details, the collection features three new rug designs: Matteo, Spezzare and Nottunro. In terms of materials, all Tappeti rugs are handmade using different fibres like wool, hemp, cactus and silk. They use traditional and varying techniques like cut, loop, carving, various pile heights and blending, and this culminates in an interesting interpretation of texture and form.

Beauty in symmetry

Matteo’s compelling tessellation of a perfect square satisfies the human eye for symmetry, balance and continuity. A versatile design that looks great in most formal and casual settings, it reinterprets Tappeti’s signature Nadia Loop and Viscose texture into geometric patterns that resemble an aerial view of a cityscape.

Textural elegance

Looking for unexpected textures to play up the minimalist appeal of your space? Presenting a sophisticated take on the stark desert landscape is Spezzare, where patterns resembling dried and crackled riverbeds steal the show.

Crisp geometric details lend a sense of movement and shadow to Nottunro. Its luxurious textures are executed beautifully through these contemporary forms. It’s made for comfort and with its display of chic patterns, it thrives in high-traffic areas like the living and dining area.

Hand-knotted or hand-tufted to order in custom fibres, sizes or shapes, the Evoluzione collection is well-suited for any space.
