IDesignerLab operates as a collaborative laboratory, driven by experimentation and research. This enables us to stay at the forefront of emerging design trends, delivering results that exceed client expectations. Guided by ‘Designing Tomorrow, Today’, we explore future possibilities in each project, realising them with precision and creativity.
Company milestones:
In less than two years since establishment, IDesignerLab achieved industry recognition with an Honorary Mention (2022) and Bronze Award (2023) at the Singapore Interior Design Awards (SIDA). In 2024, founder, Carlos Sim, served as a SIDA Youth judge and was elected Treasurer for the Society of Interior Designers Singapore (SIDS), showcasing leadership in nurturing future talent and advancing the design community.
Top advice to clients:
We advise clients to avoid excessive input from online groups, relatives, or well-meaning friends, as it can cause confusion. When selecting furniture, we recommend sticking to our design direction – a single misstep, like a mismatched sofa colour, can disrupt the entire aesthetic of the space.
