As most people would agree, we may be born into one family, but everyone develops individual tastes and quirks. For their four-bedroom condominium apartment, the main idea the family of five had was a modern and luxurious abode, but it ends there. Upon completion, the bedrooms showcase personalised takes suited for their inhabitants.

But, first, the shared spaces. The 2,700 sqft apartment comes with spacious living and dining areas. Ultimate Interior Creation aimed to enhance the sense of space with a light palette for the furniture and built-in furnishings. The design team also customised a television wall flanked by embossed mirror panels to create a luxe feel.

The living area connects to the dining area along the same wall. Wallpaper, tinted mirror and a display cabinet frame the dining set, creating a strong focal point. The ambience here, for the six-seater dining area, is intimate and glamorous with a chandelier to complete the look. The design team also carved out a feature for the dry kitchen area with a mirrored feature wall as well as built-in display shelves.

Although there are four bedrooms, the couple’s two boys share a room while their daughter has her own. The remaining bedroom has been turned into a guest room.

The master bedroom, for one, takes on smoky hues that give it a cosy feel. A key characteristic of the master bedroom is its large windows accompanied with a long concrete bay window seat. So, the design team made the best of these elements by creating a television feature wall, console with storage, a seating bench and a writing table. Here, the use of mirrored panels and patterns echo those in the living area.

The daughter picked out pink as the primary colour for the room, while the boys’ choice was blue. The design team used specially ordered wallpaper, matching drapes, and decorative panel divider and mirrored headboard backing to customise the rooms for the kids. Storage options have been provided, which includes open shelves and wardrobes.

Lastly, the apartment comes with a study, which is now furnished with built-in bookshelves, storage solutions, a television, a sofa and a writing table.

When Ultimate Interior Creation took on this project, one of the challenges they faced was that the homeowners were mostly overseas during the duration of the project. However, with their strong commitment to clear and prompt communication between the design team and client, as well as time management, the firm was able to complete the project smoothly and in time.
