Kitchens can be more than an industrious space, as reflected in XTRA’s new kitchen showroom which brims with personality. To the premium furniture and design retailer, creating memorable culinary experiences is important and it all starts with choosing the right brand of kitchen systems. Along with renowned Italian brand Cesar which they carry, they have now welcomed German luxury brand Poggenpohl to bring truly diverse perspectives and exciting possibilities for the kitchen into the Singapore market.

To best showcase the beauty and expertise of these brands, XTRA has commissioned PRODUCE, a local award-winning and trans-disciplinary design studio to work on its kitchen showroom in Marina Square. Helmed by founder Pan Yi Cheng, this marks PRODUCE’s second foray in designing for XTRA. It first conceived their Herman Miller shop-in-shop in 2017 which won the World Architecture Festive Interior of the Year award in the same year. The design studio has once again shaped a similar lasting impression with the new kitchen showroom by drawing upon the concept ‘Degrees of Freedom’.

Walking into the kitchen showroom, you’ll find a series of bold kitchen setups highlighting the versatility of products from Poggenpohl and Cesar. Floating planes have been engaged to form fascinating backdrops of walls, ceiling and floor that frame each kitchen cabinetry range. The application of different materials for these planes unleashes creative expressions for the product ranges, and invites you to visualise truly unique settings for your own kitchen.

NEW: +Segmento kitchen system emits linear elegance

For its Poggenpohl exhibit, XTRA presents the ultra-sleek +Segmento and +Modo ranges. One distinctive appeal about +Segmento is its linear design language. Without handles or unnecessary visual details to cloud its purist appearance, it’s up to you to play it up or down with customisable colours and materials.

NEW: +Modo kitchen system with lightweight forms

The unconventional play of dimensions in +Modo shows off the lightness of space with its worktop supported by thin yet strong metal strips that advocate an almost levitating effect. Creating a flexible open storage area with pull-out shelves to easily reach for deeper items, it is also equipped with drawers for impressive functionality.
