A stylish apartment in marble, wood and concrete

description

This apartment at Rivertree Residences is a juxtaposition of warm textures and cool colours. Marble, wood, and concrete are put together to bring about a raw yet refined space. Conceptualised and built by Design Zage for a young couple, the home is luxurious and charming, but also minimal and modern.

Upon walking in, guests are greeted by an atmosphere of calm and sophistication. The living area features an unobtrusive bar counter, while the dining area naturally leads into the kitchen. “The idea is to create a clean, uncluttered layout with a spacious feel,” says Zhuo Jinhai, the interior designer from Design Zage.

The distinction between the communal space and private quarters is made clear with a sliding door that separates the bedrooms from the rest of the house. Of the four bedrooms, two underwent quite a transformation and is now the couple’s personal sanctuary.

By knocking down some walls and sealing the original entrance to the fourth bedroom, the designers managed to combine the master bedroom and common bedroom to create an integrated space that holds the master sleeping area, a dressing room, and individual workspaces. The raw feel of black metal and cement textures is made cosy with the warmth of woodgrain laminates and flooring. Elegant marble veining adds a touch of sophistication to the space.
