While the space-enhancing benefit of an all-white interior is common knowledge, a softer pastel palette easily does the trick too. It also has the added benefit of making your home look brighter and different from everyone else’s home. In this 4-room HDB at Sengkang, the designers from D’ Initial Concept used swathes of baby blue and lilac to differentiate this home while giving it a bright and cheery outlook.

it also helps that the designers had replaced the wall that separated kitchen from dining room and with a bar counter. This brings light into this 968-square foot home. The dining area is what makes a big difference. It feature the most striking feature: a single, simple wall that’s bathed in baby blue. Similarly, the bedroom makes a big impact, thanks to the lilac wall.
