#1 Scandi meets retro

Bathroom Designs HDB Free Space Intent

In this 4-room BTO flat, Free Space Intent has taken the owners’ brief for a Scandinavian-inspired home, and given it a twist. In the bathroom, the designers have added shots of colour, as well as retro influences in the form of terrazzo covered walls. A slim but generous wooden dresser and tall storage shelf adds loads of function to the space!

#2 Rustic chic

While most homeowners would be inclined to conceal their water, electrical and gas pipes, we love how the owners of this 3-room HDB flat have made it a design feature instead. The copper pipes and plywood combo, as well as the polished bucket basin, make for a truly modern-rustic looking bathroom.

#3 Botanical oasis

Bathroom Designs HDB D Initial Concept Botanical

Forgoing standard tiles for something more unconventional, the bathroom in this 4-room BTO flat has been transformed into a lush oasis thanks to the wall to floor botanical motif, water-resistant wallpaper. “It’s a pricier option than wall tiles, but the unique results are worth it,” say the designers from D’ Initial Concept. #4 For love of country

Bathroom Designs HDB HALL Interiors Country Look

The owners of this 5-room HDB flat wanted a home hidden from the city; a utopia reminiscent of a cottage. To evoke the country concept, Hall Interiors used lots of pine wood and various soft woods throughout the flat. However, when it came to the bathroom practicality called for a different material application. Here, the designers have used cement with line details to create the look of wood panels! The bathroom door with old school lock is made of solid plywood and finished in wood textured laminate, and the rest of the white and woody furnishings, as well as plants complete the look of country living.

#5 Bold in black

Bathroom Designs_HDB_Black

The designer of Millimeters Studio has a deep love for black, so much so that she has turned her entire 5-room BTO flat into a stylish ‘black crib’ complete with moody looking walls, floors and furnishings. Her bathroom is no exception. Everything except for the uniquely-shaped washbasin and custom counter is black, while the plants add colour and life to the inky space. See full project here

#6 Resort getaway

Bathroom Designs HDB Design Zage Resort Look

With a bathroom like that, who needs a resort getaway? To create a distinctive, resort-inspired bathroom in this 4-room BTO flat, Design Zage installed pebbled flooring in the dry area. The basin is made of real stone that weighs 20kg while the tap is made of copper and has a waterfall effect. See full project here
