Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen collaborated with Courts to design a brand new collection of fashionable yet affordable living room furniture

World-renowned British interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen is best known in Singapore as the head judge of reality TV series The Apartment. The flamboyant character recently collaborated with Courts to design a brand new collection of living room furniture that changes the perception that well-made designer furniture needs to be expensive.
The Laurence Collection for Courts is made up of 14 sofas and two armchairs, including a commemorative piece that celebrates Singapore’s 50th birthday. The furniture pieces are true to the designer’s personality: dramatic, detailed, bold and fashionable. Each sofa has its own style, ranging from modern and monochromatic to the fancy and flowery.
This collection of living room furniture is available exclusively at Courts, with introductory prices ranging from $1,999 to $2,950 for a 3-seater sofa. Here are a few of our favourite pieces:
This Art Deco-inspired sofa updates the glamour of the old world silver screen into a modern context. We love the flowing lines and pretty patterns – a sure conversation-starter in the home.
The free-spirited energy of the 50’s is captured in the design of the Rockett sofa. We love the groovy patterns, needle legs and compact form of this living room staple, which makes it perfect for smaller rooms and apartments.
Like Laurence’s personality, the Royal Orchid sofa is elegant and luxurious. It’s inspired by the high-class Oriental style, designed to make an opulent statement without taking up too much space in your home.
If you’re looking for something more understated, The Emperor sofa balances luxury with style, committing to the brand’s quality, detailing and practicality.
