#1 Castlery moves to Liat Towers

Home-grown furniture brand Castlery has announced that it will be opening its new flagship store at Liat Towers in Orchard in the third quarter of 2022! To be located where fashion label Zara once stood, the new showroom will span 24,000 square feet across two floors, and will be twice the size of its current shopping space at 19 Keppel Road.

This marks a significant development for Castlery, as it will be the first local furniture brand to launch a flagship store with an Orchard Road frontage.

#2 My Selection opens a physical store complete with a boulangerie

Shops My Selection

Local online furniture store My Selection has opened its first-ever physical showroom in Farrer Park. Expect to find a unique curation of French and European designs at affordable prices, from brands like La Redoute Intérieurs, Fermob, EMU, AM.PM and more. My Selection keeps all its inventory in Singapore, ensuring that stocks are readily available and can be delivered quickly, and they have also recently added a dedicated space for gifts and accessories from Singaporean brands and designers.

If you’re feeling peckish after shopping, you can reward yourself with a sweet treat from their boulangerie (French bakery) corner. La Petite Boulangerie serves up classic French pastries with a Singaporean twist. It also offers Merveilleux, a traditional French and Belgian dessert that, according to My Selection, has never been sold in Singapore till now.

#3 A new shopping experience at BHG Bugis

Shops BHG Bugis

BHG Bugis has refreshed its Home & Living and Kids department on level three with the addition of immersive and interactive retail spaces, and more than 50 new brands and concepts as part of its “retailtainment” strategy.

At the heart of the new BHG Home is a fully-equipped Kitchen Studio that functions as a demonstration space to host culinary events throughout the year. There’s also a new Pillow Gallery and Bedding Gallery, with useful information and cases for different pillow designs so shoppers can find the one that offers them the best support and rest. In a first for a department store, shoppers can simulate their sleeping environments with dimmable lights when testing the mattresses, too.

Other notable features include a first-ever WMF showroom concept with the widest range of the brand’s kitchenware, and AKEMI Signature Concept featuring bed linens, bedding accessories, bath and home fragrances, and even a fragrance bar

BHG Bugis will be collaborating with local creatives from time to time, and there will be self-checkout kiosks available for an easier and faster shopping experience.

* Look out for exclusives, promos and special activities when it opens on 8 July
