Lamitak surfaces for sustainable living

Rather than look to fleeting trends for inspiration, Lamitak is taking a greener stance with its latest collection, Intervention. This much-awaited launch of high pressure laminates styles your home with considerably less impact to the environment, through recycling and other sustainable efforts.

Intervention carries 55 new designs, tallying up to 423 laminates across four categories – Woods, Solids, Patterns and Specialities. This concise collection debuted at the FIND Design Fair Asia 2022 to much fanfare, and design favourites include Cloudy Cement and Microcement. It’s easy to see why both are hits; these laminate designs take the realism of distinct and weathered styles to the next level. Cloudy Cement features deep brushstrokes that attain a painted textured appearance, while the look of Microcement is akin to stucco, lime wash and chalk paint in a fine Microdots finish.

Other design highlights in the collection include Pompeo, Genesis and Travertine which resemble natural stones and bear a similar smooth finish. These carry a gentler elegance as compared to stronger textures like wood. Speaking of wood, there’s Savannah Wood, Barn Wood, Yugen Oak and Malibu Oak which truly encapsulate the handsome and warm quality of the evergreen natural material. 

With design versatility at its forefront, Lamitak’s high pressure laminates are up for endless surfacing possibilities. The applications range from the ceiling to the wall, and to custom furniture designs and more.
