Now that the dance clubs and pubs have vacated the area, restaurants and bars have moved in, turning the stretch of road into a bustling enclave for dinner and drinks. But walk past the eating and drinking places and you’ll find several major showrooms of international brands, ranging from kitchen appliances to bathroom essentials. Yes! Another hotspot to head to when you’re renovating your home! Here are some of the specialty showrooms that caught our eyes!
Step into the Romanez showroom and find yourself surrounded by beautiful swathes of fabrics, rolls of rugs and carpets, and gorgeous wallpaper samples. The designer collection comes from all parts of the world and includes renowned international brands like Christian Lacroix, Pierre Frey and Designers Guild. We spotted bold prints, vibrant colours and eye-catching designs for homes that aren’t afraid to stand out. But if you prefer something more conservative or conventional, you’ll also find quieter colours, muted tones and more traditional prints and patterns.
Apart from fabrics for curtains and upholstery, carpets and wallpaper, you’ll also find accessories such as trimmings, curtain rods and bedding materials.

Head downstairs from the Romanez showroom and you’ll find yourself at the APS Lifestyle Gallery, a two-storey showroom that specialises in kitchen essentials. We love the fact that APS Lifestyle doesn’t feel like a cold, boring showroom. Instead, there are “live” kitchens, a private dining area and plenty of cosy nooks and crannies for you to duck into should you need a breather.
The two-storey gallery houses big kitchen brands like Smeg, Whirlpool, Kuche, Vintec and Transtherm, covering all your major appliances, including the refrigerator, oven and wine cabinet.
The 67,000-sqft space also hosts both private functions and public events, including live cooking workshops and pop-up markets, making this a prime destination for more than just your home shopping needs.

If you’re on the hunt for a feature wall or a flooring solution, visit the GF+A Global showroom to take in the splendour of tiles imported directly from Europe. We’re amazed at how GF+A uses these little tiles to create masterpieces on the walls and floor – a look that you can have in your own home!
Take a walk through the two-storey space and check out the exquisite Italian tiles and handcrafted artistic mosaic features.
