IKEA Young Designer Award 2015

IKEA Young Designer Award 2015

The IKEA Young Designer Award (YDA) returns for its second year. YDA offers a platform for students to demonstrate their creativity and develop furnishing solutions for local homes. This year, students from 10 tertiary schools have submitted their furniture designs, and the judges from IKEA have picked 20 entries as the finalists.

This year’s theme is ‘Good Mornings. Great Nights’, and we’re pretty excited by what the young designers have come up with. If you want to take an early look at what Singapore’s future talents have designed, head down to to Temasek Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. On 23 and 24 April respectively, these two institutions will showcase all 20 finalists’ works.

From 25 April to 27 April, 9am to 9pm, head down to The Atrium and National Design Centre to view the innovative designs and vote for your personal favourites. The winning young designer will receive a cash prize and a trip to IKEA of Sweden and Stockholm.
