Attaby Collective, also known as The AC, gives a permanent home to independent brands from around the world
14 March 2017
Any shopaholic understands why all-in-one shopping experiences are the best. You head into a single store; maybe looking for something specific. Instead, you end up in a treasure trove of hidden gems and unique finds! The latest multi-brand boutique is The Attaby Collective, better known as The AC. Think of it as a “shophouse of wonders” set in the ultra-hip Joo Chiat enclave.
Founder Claire Chahil was inspired by a desire to create a retail space for customers as well as an opportunity for independent brands to establish a more permanent retail footprint. Currently there are eight brands on board, ranging from fashion to flowers to furniture.
Here are some of our faves!
Nothing brightens up a room like a vase of pretty blooms. But if you can’t bear the thought of having to regularly buy and maintain fresh flowers, then check out Silk Flowers Singapore and its extensive range of beautiful, life-like flowers. Who knew artificial flowers could look so good?
Tara’s World brings beauty and exoticism straight out of Turkey and into the hearts of our homes. We adore the collection of Turkish towels, or peshtemal, that come in an array of weaves, colours and patterns. These towels are lightweight, absorbent and super quick to dry!
There are two Elements Concept stores in Jakarta, and this is the first time the design-led furniture and home decor retailer is available in Singapore. The pieces have a laidback vibe that sits perfectly in interiors that are going for a sense of rustic tranquility. Bonus points to Elements Concept for using sustainable teak, rattan and bamboo in its designs.
Apart from homeware and furniture, you might be pleasantly surprised to find clothing, shoes, bags and wall prints. Check out The AC at 420 Joo Chiat Road, Singapore 427641.
