Design Rebirth infuses an apartment with subtle textures and an elegant disposition.
17 July 2012
If ever there were a home that lets you leave the hustle and bustle of life at the door, this Amaryllis Ville apartment by Khoon Wah and Victor Loh of Design Rebirth would be it. What started out as a minor renovation project turned out to be a full-on refurbishment endeavor to turn the original apartment into a quiet and sophisticated pad for a family of four.
The whole idea was to create a rich but understated experience for the residents, says Victor. The entire apartment takes on a light colour scheme of white and soft, smoky grey. Joinery follows elemental straight lines and is simply finished with a gleaming white coat of spray paint. Walls are cloaked in fabric wallcovering in atmospheric shades of grey and brings a subtle, tactile quality to the spaces.
