This HDB apartment stands out with the use of neutral colours and earthy surface materials

When you first step into this three-room HDB apartment at Potong Pasir, you are immediately greeted by a life-sized, black telephone booth. This attention-grabbing structure is actually a display shelf and is also the initial source of inspiration for the design of this home. The designer from Space Sense started out with this statement piece and built the concept of the house around it.
The homeowners, a married couple and their daughter, were extremely open to to the designer’s input and pretty much left the design up to them. The interior design now boasts a modern twist to a loft feel, but with plenty of customisable interiors that can tailor to the owner’s lifestyle. The brick walls, concrete surfaces and hollow block partitions are elements that create the basis for the look of the home, but still allows the homeowners to add their own personalities to the interior design.
