The designer from Meter Square fostered a creative relationship with the homeowners of this four-room HDB flat to successfully juggle design aesthetics with practical pragmatism. Quality and creativity were two important factors in the design of this home. An example of the collaboration is how homeowner and designer came up with the choice of material for the floors. Initially, the homeowners requested for timber floors, but the designer advised against it, saying that they might blow their budget on floors along. As a solution, she suggested laminate flooring that looks similar, but are available at a fraction of the price.
