Home Type: 2-bedroom condominium
Floor Area: 1,008 sqft
In order to make room for two children and a domestic helper, this family knew that they needed an interior designer with the right experience to carve out not just more living space, but also more storage space in their 2-bedroom condo. Using clever storage systems and space-saving features, Chanel Cheah from AC Vision Design helped the couple to achieve a home that meets their living and storage needs.
Custom-designed full-height cabinets provide more storage space for the family. Instead of a full-size dining table, the homeowners decided to keep the area spacious with a wall-mounted drop-down table that hardly takes up any legroom.
Opting for a darker colour palette for the living room, Chanel ensured that it does not overwhelm the space by keeping the design clean and uncluttered. The TV feature wall conceals unsightly electrical cables and adds ambient lighting with its recessed lighting tracks.
The warm brown palette used in the rest of the home is also applied in the master bedroom. Maximising the floor area, the customised platform bed functions not only as a bed frame, but also offers storage solutions. Hydraulic lift storage compartments within the platform allow the couple to store their personal items.
