Home Type: Condominium Apartment

For many homeowners in Singapore, introducing colour into their homes is a challenge they would rather not face. But an all-white interior might not be the best solution. For this condominium apartment at Bukit Timah, the design team from Habitat One wanted to create a contemporary abode without the trappings of bold colour combinations or over-the-top focal points.

Instead, a sleek wood-and-white material palette became the main feature for this home. The walls and floors are kept in a pristine white. The designers then balanced this out with a long mirror wall stretching from dining room to living room. The television feature wall is made from wood laminates, a series of orderly panels that house a storage system.
A similar colour palette can be found in the rest of this condominium apartment. The kitchen, features a mix of glossy upper cabinets and wood grain lower cabinets, visually grounding the space without eating into the floor space. Over in the bedrooms, the designers look the family’s needs into consideration. Storage closets and the wardrobe are built into the design of each room, fully maximising the available space to its full extent.
