Luxurious stone surfaces meet warm earth tones in this reimagined bungalow, where Tee Yiping of Third Avenue Studio proves luxury and family life can coexist beautifully. The Senior Designer has transformed the space into a sophisticated sanctuary, creating a refined backdrop for the owners’ designer furniture while keeping comfort at its core.
Designer pieces from Flexform and Vitra create a living area that’s both stylish and timeless, where generous sofas in varying configurations invite relaxation and accommodate different needs. “With most furniture pieces taking three to four months to arrive, meticulous scheduling was crucial to align deliveries with the project timeline,” says the designer.
Walls have been removed, creating a larger and more comfortable setting for meals and gatherings, while synchronised sliding doors provide flexibility, seamlessly linking or dividing the kitchen and dining space. Flexform furniture, paired with a sleek metal-leather display, enhances the room’s refined, modern sensibility.
The formerly enclosed wet and dry kitchens have been combined and made into a spacious, open-plan hub. “The island, with its waterfall-edge Caesarstone countertop, is the focal point, integrating a lower bar table for the children,” says the designer. A trio of oversized Diesel pendant lights further define the space.
The master bedroom blends rustic and industrial elements, with a concrete-inspired feature wall neatly concealing the entry to the walk-in wardrobe and bathroom. Meticulously curated furnishings inject individuality, with each element chosen to amplify the room’s defined textures.
An elegant composition of greys, the powder room features a vanity clad in Cosentino Sensa surface, set against rustic-textured tiles. Mirroring the master bedroom, it explores contrast through materiality, where surfaces and patterns interact to create depth and a tactile visual experience.
