The upcoming Affordable Art Fair proves that art doesn’t have to be pretentious or expensive

Why we can’t wait for Affordable Art Fair 2016!

The Affordable Art Fair happens twice a year in Singapore (and in many other cities including London, New York, Amsterdam, Seoul and Hong Kong) and will be back on our shores on 18 to 20 November. This is its 7th year in Singapore and the beloved event is expected to host more than 80 local and overseas galleries showing over 600 artists from around the world.

If you’ve always thought that art is only for the rich, then it’s time to reconsider. Affordable Art Fair is tailored for anyone who appreciates the beauty of art. It also helps that the twice-yearly event is in no way ‘snooty’ or ‘pretentious’, words you might associate with the arts. In fact, it’s a fun and welcoming fair, whether you’re a seasoned art buyer, or someone who’s

Here’s why we’ll be checking out this year’s Affordable Art Fair (Autumn Edition) at the F1 Pit Building.

With the mission to provide ‘art for everyone’, Affordable Art Fair introduces paintings, prints, sculptures and photography in an inspiring and friendly atmosphere. All artwork is priced between $100 to $15,000 (75% of which is under $7,500). In fact, it’s compulsory for exhibitors and galleries to label all artwork, meaning you’ll know exactly what suits your budget. Looking for something more affordable? Keep an eye out for artwork specially marked with pink ‘Under $1,000’ stickers, or head straight to the ‘Under $1,000 Wall’.
