Sanitaryware provider TOTO first opened its Technical Center on 2 May 2013. The Technical Center is a 400-sqm visitor and training centre that allows customers to explore the innovative technologies of all TOTO products. On 8 November 2013, the Japanese company invited the media to observe, listen to and experiment with the inner workings of TOTO products.

Interactive stations provided guests with a clearer understanding of the company’s focus on performance, conservation, technology and innovation. This includes a shower display that allows guests to feel the various spray patterns and a lab that showcases TOTO’s powerful Tornado flush system.
The main attraction is Actilight, a cutting-edge technology that uses ultra-violet light and zirconium oxide to rid surfaces of waste and organic matter. Touted as the “zenith of clean technology”, Actilight is a powerful cleaning system that keeps the toilet clean, on its own.
