Bookmatched marble never fails to impress. Visually stunning as a feature wall or a statement piece, bookmatched marble adds a touch of finesse to the decor and elevates the atmosphere of the room.
The beautiful symmetrical effect of bookmatched marble is achieved when two marble slabs mirror each other and are set side by side on the same surface. Traditionally produced only with good-quality marble that boasts dark, distinctive veining, this look can now be attained with other materials that are more affordable and easier to maintain, like high pressure laminates (HPL).
Lunigiana, one of the latest HPL collections from Lamitak is created with dramatic veining and comes with a mirror-image version, so that the two versions can be placed side by side to resemble bookmatched marble. Named after a historic area in Italy, Lunigiana offers a classic design that is sure to add a luxe appeal in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Montignoso, another HPL collection from Lamitak is also designed to attain the look of bookmatched marble. Named after a commune in the Tuscany region of Italy, Montignoso features a dark background with exquisite veining.
These large-format laminates are ideal for a full-height feature wall at home. Another new large-format HPL from Lamitak is Humboldt Street, a design inspired by the raw unpolished metal walls on the streets of Downtown Portland in Oregon. Touted as a seamless repeatable design, Humboldt Street can also be pieced side by side to form a wide feature wall.
