What is your firm’s design identity?
Our slogan is ‘Aartify the boxx you live in’, and our vision is to make boring shoebox houses artistic, hence our company name. We always plan based on the lifestyle of our clients because we believe that by understanding their lifestyle, we will be able to propose layouts that are unique to them. Our focus is on lifestyle, functionality & design.
What constitutes a meaningful/purposeful space?
The right layout. The default layout of a house isn’t one size fits all. At Aart Boxx Interior, we believe that everyone is different and unique in their own right, and so should their home. That is why we oft-times propose a new layout to suit our client’s lifestyle, habits and personality.
What are your areas of expertise?
Space planning is one of our fortes. Aart Boxx Interior is known for devising space-saving solutions for studio apartments and lofts, creating as much storage as possible without making the space look cluttered or overwhelming.
On top of that, we pride ourselves for delivering high quality carpentry works since our inception. Our team of highly skilled carpenters tirelessly delivers unmatched quality that complements our design work.
What are your recent milestones?
We designed a jumbo HDB flat some time back and it attracted lots of attention from homeowners alike. They were impressed at how we transformed the space to look nothing like a conventional flat, without compromising on aesthetics and functionality. Since then, we have designed quite a number of big flats, especially jumbo flats.
What is your best design advice?
Understand your needs and wants first, and don’t be afraid to share your lifestyle openly to your interior designer. Most importantly, listen and trust your designer’s advice because he/she will always have your best interest at heart, even if you might not agree with he/she all the time.
Aart Boxx Interior turned a restrictive HDB typology into a voluminous flat that capitalises on the luxury of space without compromising on aesthetics.
Aart Boxx Interior tackled a tight, rectilinear layout of a bachelor pad by repurposing rooms, as well as employing lots of mirrors and streamlined furnishings.
This BTO flat is primed for working, relaxing, and entertaining thanks to its open-plan layout, clever space planning and thoughtful details devised by Aart Boxx Interior.
