When space is scarce, functionality usually comes up tops on the list of priorities. When interior design firm D’Planner designed this petite flat, storage was one of the owners’ top concerns – after all, keeping a space neat and tidy goes a long way in making a home look more spacious. But instead of offering standard cupboards that have no bearing on the actual design of the home, designer Jessica Liang decided to use the in-built storage units as design elements. This was to be the main strategy of the design.
