This home designed by Habitat One places an emphasis on an unpretentious, fuss-free lifestyle.

It’s not the first time the Habitat One designers are working with the owners of this condominium apartment at The Waterside. Previously having worked with them on their first home, the team was called upon once more when the owners moved into their new home. The spacious apartment needed little help in the looks department given the very palatable material scheme already in place – marble and time floors and simple cream-coloured walls. The layout of the apartment was also efficient and provided a firm foundation for the designers to dress the space up.
One of the main changes came in the kitchen. It was opened up on one side in include a casual breakfast counter. Sliding doors help to contain the fumes within the cooking area. Honey-hued timber laminating dressed the cabinets for a natural, easy-going look.
The study in particular, has significantly more built-in cabinets and shelves than the other rooms. A mix of open shelves, closed cabinets and a study desk anchor the space. A “secret door” leads to the entrance of the bathroom that’s connected to this study.
