Unlike fashion, furniture design moves at a slower pace. After all, good furniture is designed to last you for many years. This however, doesn’t mean that furniture design can’t take its inspiration from iconic fashion trends. Commune’s latest range of accessible furniture, the Linear collection, embodies the minimalist and masculine elements often found on fashion runways. Taking these fashionable trends and translating them into furniture design seems to have worked out well, with a collection that focuses on minimalism and utilitarianism.
The Linear collection features walnut overlays against military green wood panels, sitting on black powdercoated mild steel legs. The clean, minimalist lines and slim legs showcase the precision and strength of the furniture. Craftsmanship is further exhibited through the carefully chamfered edges of the compress wood panels that line the sides.
With is cool, mysterious dark tones balanced with the homely warmth of dark wood, the collection is designed for those who appreciate a style that exudes designer chic and sophistication.
The Linear collection consists of a coffee table, end table, TV unit, dining armchairs and sidechairs, dining sideboard, console table, standing mirror, bed frames, 5-drawer chest and 6-drawer chest.
