Axor Urquiola by Hansgrohe

Master clothier Hans Grohe (1871-1955) had a passion for the element water, and that led to his brave forage into the sanitary sector in year 1901 when bathrooms in private houses were only just becoming fashionable. He saw the shower as an affordable alternative to the bath and devoted himself passionately to developing his showers further. From a humble three-man operation in the Kinzigtal Valley in Germany, Hansgrohe has today become a global brand known for its innovation and top quality in sanitary ware.

It was his vision, together with his craftsmanship and design, which continually set many trends in the sanitary sector. Even at the age
of 82 years old then, he invented the wall bar, to which the hand shower can be attached at the desired height. Today it is common in bathrooms all over the world, but back in 1953 it was a stroke of bathroom genius.
