When it comes to interior design, quality is definitely more important than quantity. Just ask boutique design firm ted iD. The 7-strong interior design studio may be small in manpower, but this only encourages the designer to produce superior projects that their clients are more than happy to endorse. “Design is important and we emphasise that to every homeowner who meets with us,” says founder and creative director Ted Voon.
Ted Voon started his design company with the aim of changing and improving the interior design industry. In line with the company’s mission to bring good design to the mass market, Ted has introduced in-house carpentry services to his company’s portfolio of facilities. This, he explains, allows ted iD to provide quality-controlled workmanship, in-depth customisation and the flexibility to accommodate minute changes in the design process.
ted iD also introduced free consultation services, coupled with a “design kickstarter” package wherein you can opt for 3D drawings of your new home. “Everything we work on is a bespoke design, so it’s hard for us to provide examples or mock-ups that match what each client is asking for. That’s why we offer 3D drawings to help them envision how their home can look like. We want to help make that dream come true.”
